Reading Order
There is no single path. MACI does not require obedience to a closed order. The order helps you avoid starting with the wrong book for your situation.
1. MACI — The Manual: Easy-to-Run
The practical entry point for setting up or turning around a living aquarium without turning it into a chain of corrections.
2. MACI Aquarium Diagnostic Manual
For studying your aquarium before acting. It teaches you to identify normal signals, accumulations, real emergencies, and rushed interventions.
3. MACI I
This book introduces the conceptual framework behind MACI. It helps you understand aquariums as living systems and provides the theoretical basis for design and intervention.
4. MACI II
MACI II develops the design side of the framework. After understanding why automatic maintenance can keep an aquarium dependent, this book explains how to build systems with more internal capacity, more biological continuity, and fewer constant rescues.
5. MACI — System Evidence
This collection of evidence and case studies shows how real aquariums respond over time when built according to MACI principles.
You can find all these books on the books page.
